Scowt is a competitive intelligence platform that monitors publicly available information about companies you designate as competitors. The Service includes:
- Automated monitoring of public web pages
- News and funding tracking from public sources
- Review aggregation from public platforms
- AI-generated analysis and battlecards
- Alerts and notifications via email and Slack
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Collect data for purposes other than competitive intelligence
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal use
- Resell or redistribute the Service without permission

5. Subscriptions and Billing
Free Plan
The free plan includes limited features as described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free features at any time.
Paid Plans
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fee.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.
Price Changes
We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Scowt and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of data you input into the Service.
Competitor data collected through the Service remains publicly available information. We make no claim to ownership of such data.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party services (e.g., Slack, email providers). Your use of such integrations is subject to those services' terms and privacy policies.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of competitor data. AI-generated content may contain errors. You should verify important information independently.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCOWT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scowt from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Scowt operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
